F-189-PLC is a computer controlled filleting machine that is built on a solid foundation of the highly respected and trusted Baader 189 filleting machine.  The objective is to produce a filleting machine that will ensure higher yield, increased throughput with less deterioration of quality than that of the original machine.  This is done by redesigning tools and guides thus introducing and inserting specially designed computer controlled motors to move the tools according to each species as well as fish size.

Maintenance is getting easier than before since mechanically controlled points are much fewer than before, now the main work required from the maintenance crew is to sharpen the knives, ensure proper lubrication and alignment of all guides.

The major inventions and modifications:

1.    New saddles with thinner main plate and increased holding capacity.
2.    All brass and copper has been removed from areas touching the raw material.
3.    Redesigned infeed tables.
4.    Redesigned tail guides with increased moving capacity – fewer fail cuts.
5.    Guides have improved and reinvented surface with less resistance.
6.    New boneguides, increased size range, better appearance and less gaping.
7.    New saddle supports, better stability.
8.    New drive mechanism, less risk of failure and downtime.
9.    New safety wrench used while changing knives, increasing safety.
10.   Less risk of filleting faults than previously – increased trimming throughput.
